Terms & Conditions

Please Note:

Terms and conditions may differ depending on the package chosen. Your contract will include all the final details that apply to your booking.

The terms below are mainly intended for wedding bookings.

For engagements, portraits, events, rentals, or other services, the terms will be adjusted based on the package and service booked.

Booking & Payments

1. A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. No date is held without payment.
2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. All prices are subject to change until a booking is confirmed with payment.

Accommodation & Meals

1. Meals are the responsibility of the client. Accommodation may be required due to distance, schedule, or event length.
2. These costs are not included in any package or transportation waiver.

Coverage & Deliverables

1. Coverage time begins at the scheduled start time, not arrival time.
2. Overtime is subject to availability and billed separately.
3. Image counts are minimum guarantees, not exact totals.
4. Final images are delivered edited in Richard Mitchell Photography’s signature style. Requests for unedited RAW files are respectfully declined.

Creative Control

1. By booking, clients trust Richard Mitchell Photography’s creative direction, editing style, and storytelling approach.
2. While special requests are welcomed, final artistic decisions remain with the photographer to ensure consistent quality.

Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances

1. Outdoor sessions are weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, rescheduling or location changes may be required.
2. Richard Mitchell Photography is not responsible for compromised coverage due to weather, venue restrictions, late starts, or limited access.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

1. Retainers are non-refundable under all circumstances.
2. Rescheduling is subject to availability and will incur additional fees.
3. If the photographer is unable to attend due to emergency or force majeure, a suitable replacement or refund of payments (excluding retainer) will be arranged.

Client Responsibility

1. To ensure smooth coverage, clients are required to promptly communicate any changes and keep the media team in the loop throughout the planning process.
2. Clients are responsible for permissions, venue access, and adherence to venue rules.
3. Delays caused by the client or third parties may reduce coverage without compensation.

Image Use

1. Richard Mitchell Photography retains the copyright to all images.
2. Images may be used for portfolio, website, and social media unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to delivery.

Updates to Terms

1. Richard Mitchell Photography reserves the right to update or discontinue these terms at any time without prior notice.
2. The version of your package agreed to at the time of booking will apply to that booking.
